Thomas Memorial Trophy
The Thomas Memorial Association Event was held on Thursday April 2 with clear skies, little wind and a balmy 30 C. 3 rounds were played with Val Hunt from Belmont Croquet Club being declared the winner with 3 wins and 41 hoops. Margaret Skeen was the division winner with Raine Vivian and Carol Bradburn runners up. These 3 players were all from the Drysdale Croquet Club. GCA Golf Croquet Championships
Congratulations to Michael Franck for winning Section 2 of the championships held at Belmont.

2008/09 Ripview Shield
Congratulations to Min Rippon for winning the RipView Shield. The shield is a handicap event with everyone who entered playing everyone else. The competition was very close and with one round to play there were 5 people who could have won. After that round 4 people were on top of the ladder with 9 wins. Hoops were then taken into account with Min just pipping Roger Richmond 31 to 29.

QBTCC Newsletter

Club Facilities
There is one A lawn which can become two B lawns. The bowling club lawns are also made available to us when possible. One lawn is available generally once a week and the other lawns are used for special tournaments.
Both Association and Golf Croquet are played at the club (see weekly schedule).

New Players
New players at the club usually learn golf croquet. Beginners are most welcome but it is advisable to ring the club captain to ensure that there is someone present to help. Association lessons are available by arrangement - email Anne Molloy if interested.

Dress
Casual dress is worn except for formal croquet events including the Thursday social days during the season. Shoes must be flat (i.e. no heel) however if the bowling lawns are used the shoes must have a smooth sole.

Season
The croquet season is from August to May. During winter the court is generally available however it would be wise to contact either of the club captains to ensure that there will be other players present.

The weekly schedule for court use is as follows

Saturday 9.30 AM GC 1.00 PM AC
